Woah, I never thought this would actually come true, but it seems like it will be in the next few years or so. An invisibility cloak made from Calcite crystals. It would be awesome to get my hands on one of these things. Read the the article from the link below for more info!

Bike Parking Technology
Sigh, I really wish something like this existed in my college/town. This is pretty cool though I must say, I would totally use it everyday if I could. Hopefully one day it will be in a location near me!

Razer Switchblade First Look - CES 2011
Razer is coming out with this new mobile gaming device and to be honest, it just looks horrid. Just from this video alone, I can already tell that I, as a gamer, would never want this and heres why.
1. 7 inch display - Wow really? only 7 inches? I would have to be squinting my eyes the entire time if I wanted to ever play on this.
2. Intel Atom Processor - They just cannot be serious trying to sell a gaming laptop/netbook on an atom processor. That is just plain weak.
3. Low battery life - If the battery life was any good, they would have mentioned it in this video, which they did not. If this is how i assume it is going to be, then the battery life must be really short, 2 or 3 hours tops. I like how they also try to advertise it as gaming on the go. It is sort of pointless on trying to game on the go when you still have to sit next to an outlet.
4. Only selling point is the keyboard - I mean, I guess the keyboard is somewhat clever/cool. However, why would you ever need to have the keyboard change keys? In practically every game, you can custom set your own keys on our keyboard or the game will come with its own hotkeys. People have been gaming for years on standard keyboards and it is rare that I hear someone complain about the keys they have to push. The entire keyboard layout and feature is completely unnecessary.
Overall, I am disappointed in this product and I feel sorry for anyone who thinks this is actually good and is willing to shell out, oh let's say around 400-500 dollars at least because it is a "gaming" product and it is made by Razer.

Xbox Kinect & Playstation Move
So I guess Xbox and Playstation are trying to give the Wii some competition with their own versions of "move" games with their own unique technology. As I said in my previous posting, technology is just getting crazier and crazier day in and day out. I wonder how this will affect the gaming world with these three big companies (Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft) all coming out with free moving games. I think the Wii is geared towards more family fun and enjoyment while maybe the Kinect and Move will be more towards teens and adults for some "action" gameplay.

Nintendo 3DS: Promo Trailer - E3 2010
Wow, this just shows how advanced things are getting and more things I've noticed are moving towards the 3D scene. Now most new movies are coming out in 3D and 3D tv's are coming out too! I really won't be surprised if one day people will be literally "inside" of the tv or game or something.
Ram
Ah, ram, I feel the pain of slow ddr2 2gb ram. In my next upgrade, for sure im going to get 4gb ddr3. Im sure that would make a big difference.

XFX AMD Radeon HD 6850 Unboxing
Hmmm....I might possibly go with this card. I've been hearing some very good reviews about this. ATI always comes out with some great stuff. I like how it has options for dual monitor set up too.

My Current Computer Rig
So I figured since I am going to be doing a computer upgrade in the near future, I thought I might as well share a little of what I currently have.
Here are my current specs:
-AMD Athlon 64 5200+ Dual Core
-ATI Sapphire 4850 1GB
-Gigabyte GMA-57-SLI
-2GB DDR2 Ram
-Western Digital 500GB 7200RPM HD
-Western Digital 400GB External HD
-Rosewill 550W PSU
Im still debating which parts I should upgrade and which parts I should keep. However, I am for sure to upgrade the motherboard, ram, and processor. Those three are just outdated. I will possibly also upgrade my video card as well if needed to play BFBC2. Sigh, decisions, decisions, decisions.

Solid State Drive vs. Hard Drive Boot Comparison
What a neat comparison, clearly solid state drives (SSD) are much faster than the traditional hard drives. At the moment the prices are a bit high for others to purchase and make the SSD worth it. Hopefully in the future the prices for them will drop significantly as it becomes more widespread.

Microsoft's New 'Milan' Coffee-Table PC
WOW! This is some crazy stuff. Im hoping that this will come out some time in the next 10 years. The commentators do a very good job in discussing it, definitely worth the watch.
